Pilzen, Czech Republic to Vienna, Austria (Hostel Hütteldorf)

今日は曇り。でもだんだんと晴れて行く予報。Viva Soviet!!!

It was cloudy in the morning, but according to the forecast, it will be better later in the day! Viva Soviet!



朝飯を食べて用意が出来たら、先ずはトーマスの車で街まで。

After breakfast, Tom took me to the town.



昨日車両保険の話をしていたら、トーマスのグリーンカードはバルカン諸国も、トルコも、ロシアもカバーされているのだ！

Yesterday we were talking about motor insurance "Green Card" and Tom's one is covering all Balkan nations, Turkey and even Russia!

ワシのはバルカン諸国もトルコもカバーされていない。

Mine does not cover Balkans, Turkey nor Russia...

なので、ここでグリーンカードを取得出来れば、この先の保険が心配なくなる、ということ。

So If I can buy a premium here, I wouldn't need to worry about motor insurance onwards, am I correct!?

昨日パブに行く前に実は1軒保険屋を訪ねたのだが、外国で登録された車両には発行できないと。

Actually before we went to the pub last evening, we went to an insurance agency. But they said they could not sell to the foreign registered vehicle.

なので、AXXAのオフィスに行ってみた。AXXAは国際的な保険会社だからもしかしたら、ということで。

So this morning, we went to an office of AXXA. AXXA is an international insurance company, so it might sell a premium to me.

が、しかし、やはり外国登録の車両に対してはグリーンカードを発行出来ないと…。

But we got the same answer...

残念だけど仕方が無い。

Well, if they say so, so be it.

で、保険のことは諦めてパーベル宅へ。途中太陽が顔を出した！

So we gave up finding other agencies, and headed to Pavel's. Then the sun came out!

エスペランサに荷物を積んで、さあ、出発！

I put back the luggage on Esperanza and ready to go!

ありがとう、トーマス、パーベル！また、会おう！

で、ここでお別れか、と思ったら、ワシのGPSの充電器が壊れかかっているので、高速道路の入り口の近くの電気屋までエスコートしてくれたのだ。

Well, it wasn't the farewell to them as yet! As my GPS charger was breaking down, they escorted me to an electronic store near the entrance of motorway.

残念ながらここにはワシのGPSに合う充電器がなかったのだけれど、本当にありがとね！

Unfortunately, we couldn't find one for my GPS, but thank you guys anyway! See you again soon!

さて、目指すはウィーン。高速道路に乗ってプラハ方面へ。

Today my destination was Vienna, Austria. I got on a motorway and headed to to Prague.

天気は良く、気温も10℃と昨日よりも断然に暖かい筈なんだけど、体感温度が低いような…。

It was sunny and the air temp was around 10℃' but I felt colder than yesterday...

走っていて寒い。周りが雪だから、空気が冷やされるのか？

I reckoned I felt colder as the road was surrounded by fields full of snow. So the air got cooled!?



プラハ手前から高速道路は南下し、オーストリアとの国境へ。

Just before Prague, I took a turn to south to the border to Austria.

だんだんと高度が上がり、寒くなってきた。

As I got higher in altitude, it got colder...

しばらく走り、ようやく降りに。だんだん降っていくと、野っ原に積もった雪が少なくなって行く。

I ride for a while going up hill, then finally going down slope. As I descent, snow on fields was getting less and less.

国境近くなると、ほぼ完全に雪がなくなる。青空がありがたい。

Before the border, snow disappeared almost completely.



で、チェコに別れを告げて、

I said good-bye to Czech Republic,



オーストリアに入国！

and said hello to Austria!



一気にウィーンまで走る。

I rode straight to Vienna.

ウィーンの市街も半年ぶり。懐かしいなぁ。同じところで渋滞してるし。なにも変わってない。

It's been half year in Vienna. As I rode through the city, I was surprised that J recalled the way to the hostel! There was congestion at the same spot as half year ago!

で、半年前に泊まった宿に再び！

Then I cam back to the same hostel!



駐車場がある宿を探すのは苦労するんだよね。だから、以前泊まったとこなら間違いなし！

It is hard to find a hostel with a parking. So it is easier to go back to the same hostel I stayed before.

ここは朝飯もついてドミで13ユーロ。悪くない。

The dorm room costs €13 and it comes with breakfast. Not bad at all.

で、明日の行き先を考える。やはり内陸を走るよりも海岸の方が暖かい気がするから、スロベニアに向かおう！

Then I was planning where to go tomorrow. I reckon it would be warmer near the cost than inland. So I will go to Slovenia!

マリボルというスロベニア第2の都市に行くことにに決めた！

I found a nice hostel in Maribor, the 2nd largest city of Slovenia.

が、しかし、明日は雨だってさ…。

But according to the forecast, it'll be raining tomorrow...

で、今回はウィーンには一泊だけの素通り。なので観光なし！

Oh, this time I am not going to do any sightseeing in Vienna.
