Höchst im Odenwald to Fussen (LA House)

今日は天気よし!　走りますよぉーーー!!

It got clreared this morning! I will ride today!!

カトリン、お父さんとお母さんに別れを告げて9時半には出発。お弁当まで持たせてくれました。本当にありがとう!!

I left Katrin's place by 9:30am. I got a lunch pack to go!! Danke schön!!

先ずはハイデルブルクベルクまで。70キロ足らずですが、ハイウェーは使わずに田舎道を走ります。途中の田舎街たちがすごくキレイ。「あ、この風景いいな」と思ったところでは停まれないので、なかなかいい写真は撮れませんが。

I rode to Heidelberg first. It was less than 70km away from Höchst so I took a local road rather than a Autobahn. The rural scenery was realy beautiful. I said so many times "beautiful", "wonderful", but I could not pull over and take photos. So there aren't much photos. The scenery is kept in my mind. 

















ネッカー（Neckar)川の畔を走ります。街が川の畔にあったりして、素晴らしい。

I rode alongside of River Neckar. Some towns were on the riderside and they were so pretty.

ハイデルベルクには11時前に到着。しかし曇り空。とりあえず路上駐車してハイデルベルク城へ。階段を登っていきます。

I got to Heidelberg before 11am. But it got cloudy. I founda parking spot and walked to Schloss Heidelberg. I walked up on the stars.


































そして城が見えて来ました。

Then I saw the castle.




















この城は半分廃墟と化しているらしく、所々崩れてます。

As the most part of the castle was abandaned long ago, so the castle is now half ruined.



















城からハイデルベルクの街が一望できます。うーん、ハイデルベルクは人気の観光名所だと聞いてましたが、途中の小さな街々やカトリンの住んでいるヘヒストやミヒェルシュタットのほうがワシは好きでしたね。

From the castle, I could see the city of Heidelberg. I heard Heidelberg was one of the most popular city by toursts, but I found it wasn't that atractive.  prefered those small towns like Höcst , Michelstadt or those town the way.

















なので、観光もそこそこに切り上げて今日の最終目的地フュッセンに向かいます。国道5号線をはしり、そして8号線へ。それから7号線へ。

So I did not explore the city. I headed to today's final destination Fussen. I rode on Autobahn Route 5, then Route 8 and then Route 7.

















7号線をしばらく走るとアルプスの山々が見え始めます。途中のレストエリアで停まって写真を撮ろうとしたら、フランス人ライダーの集団がいました。ワシのバイクを見て興味津々。色々フランス語で質問を浴びせかけてきます。スペイン語で対応。何とか会話は成り立ちます(?)。フランス人も陽気だなぁ。

On Route 7, I could see those Alps ahead. I stopped at a rest area and was going to take a photo, I met those French riders. They were very curious about me after seeing Esperanza. They asked me many questions in French. I spoke in SPanish and somehow we could make a conversation (?)



















































フュッセンの宿には4時半頃に到着。宿からの風景。なかなかでしょ。

I arrived Fussen by 4:30pm. The view from he hostel. Not too bad at all.


















チェックインを済ませたら、とりあえず城見学に行きます。ノイシュヴァンシュタイン城（Schloss Neuschwanstein)とホーエンシュヴァンガウ城（Schloss Hohenschwangau)という有名な城があるんです。

After checked-in, I rode to see those famous castles: Schloss Neuschwanstein and Schloss Hohenschwangau). 

街からしばらく走ると、ホーエンシュヴァンガウ城が見えてきました。停車してパチリ。

Just outside of the town of Fussen, I could see Schloss Hohen schwangau. I pulled over and took a few photos.

















そして山をちょっと登ると駐車場とお土産屋とレストランとホテルのエリアがあります。それ以上は車両通行禁止なので、駐車して歩きます。

Them I rode up a hill where was very touristic: gift shops, restarants, and hotels. No vehicle was allowed to go further, so I parked Esperanza at a road side and walked around.

















ホーエンシュヴァンガウ城。ノイシュヴァンシュタイン城を築いたルートビッヒ2世の父マクシミリアン2世が築いた城。ゴシック様式だとか。

Thisi is Schloss Hohenshwangau in Gothic style, built by Maximilian II - the father of Ludwing II.

そして世界一美しい城と言われているノイシュヴァンシュタイン城は!?

Then the said most beautiful castle in the world - Scholoss Neuschwanstein...


















修復のため覆われています・・・。まぁ、知ってたんですけどね。がっかりです。

was covered completely for restoration works. I knew that a few days ago, but seeing thatwith my eyes, it was a big disappointment.

それからレヒの滝（Lech Fall)を訪れたり、

Then I visited Lech Fall,

















ちょっと丘を登ってみたり。丘からフュッセンの街が一望(?)できます。

and climbed up a hill to see a nice (?) view of the town of Fussen.


















まぁ、そんなこんなで楽しみにしていたノイシュヴァンシュタイン城見学はあっさりと終了したのでし・・・、と思ったら宿で知り合った香港人のアンソンからマリエン橋（Marienbrucke)からはキレイに見える、との情報を得たので明日再度行って見ます!!　乞うご期待。

Visiting Schloss Neuschwanstein was one of hilights of my trip in Germany, bt it ended like this... so I thought. But Anson from Hong Kong I met at the hostel told me, other side of the castle was not covered and it could be seen from Marenbridge (Marienbruke). So I will go to see it again tomorrow!!
