今朝は天気予報通り快晴！

As it was forecasted, it's a fine day!



羊とめぐる冒険の再出発には最高の日和だね。

It's the best condition to start my new trip with Mr. Sheep, Esperanza and the bear!

え、最近ヒツジとめぐっている、というよりくまとだって？

Recently you don't see much of Mr. Sheep but see the bear often!?

ふむ、あくまでくまはヒツジの手下なんですよ。ベジマイトじゃなくて、マーマイトだし。

Well, the bear is Mr. Sheep's assistant. He cannot handle Vegemite nor Marmite yet...



エスペランサにパニアを装着したり、

I put the panniers on Esperanza,



荷物をまとめたり。朝からアルトゥール、ボグタン兄弟が訪ねてきたり、ピーター兄が訪ねてきたり、弁護士から電話がかかってきたりとフレッドは忙しい。

and packing up. This morning Friedel was busy with visitors (Artur & Bogdan brothers and his own brother Peter) and calls from lawyers.

ワシももたもたしていたら、11時になってしまった！出発準備完了！

Oh, I was taking too much time too! It became 11am when I was ready.



フレッドにお別れを告げて出発！

I said good-bye to Friedel and Sira! "Hasta luego amigo! Nos vemos en el camino!"



本当にお世話になったよ、フレッド。必ず日本に遊びにきてよ！お母さんとね！

I really thank Friedel for his friendship and hospitality. Please come to Japan on day with your mum!

陽があるせいか、気温(10℃くらい)よりも暖かく感じる。

With the sun, I felt much warmer than actual temp (10℃)。

フランクフルト過ぎた辺りから、雲行きが怪しくなる。天気予報通りだ。

But after passing Frankfurt, the weather got worse. Well, it was as forecasted.

レストエリアにて雨具を着込む。

I made a stop at a rest area and wore the rain gears.



これで雨が降っても大丈夫！

Now I'm waterproofed!

しばらく走ると案の定雨が。体感温度も気温も下がってきた。

It started raining after a while. Now I felt cold!

そして、雨が雪に変わった…。ふむ、予報通りだ…。

Then it became snowing... Well, this was forecasted too...

気温は2.5℃、1.5℃とだんだん下がって行く。

The air temp dropped to 2.5 and 1.5℃. It was so so cold riding in that temp...

路面が凍結しないか心配だ。

I was anxious if the road surface was frozen.

雪がバイザーに張り付いて来る。バイザーの中も曇ってしまって、視界悪し。

Snow stuck on my visor. Inside of the visor got glared, so I had a bad visibility...

バイザー開けて走ると、寒いし雪が目にはいってくるし。

I opened the visor to get a better vision, but it was so cold and snows got into my eyes...

時速80〜90キロに落として走行する。そうでないと寒いし、痛いし。

I slowed down to 80 〜 90km/h. Otherwise it was too cold and too painful.

とうとう気温が0.5℃まで下がった！走っているから体感気温は確実にマイナスだよなぁ。

The air temp dropped as low as 0.5℃. As I was moving in high speed, the "feel like" temp must be much lower.

フロントスクリーンには雪が張り付いてるし…。とにかく寒い。そういえば、他のライダーは1人も見なかったな。

I could see snow stuck on the front screen. It was so cold. I didn't see any other motorcyclist...



ガソリンスタンドのトイレを使おうとしたら70セントもする！日本円にて90円！ふざけるな！ってことで使わない。我慢してやる。

I made a stop at a petrol station and wanted to use the toilet. But it cost €0.70! That's so expensive! So I didn't use it!



飯も街中のガソリンスタンドなら2ユーロくらいでソーセージパンが買えるのに、高い物しか置いていない…。よし、飯も抜きだ！

At those petrol stations in town, I could see a sausage with a bread roll for €2, but at the petrol stations on motorway got only expensive option... So I skipped lunch.

少しの休憩後雪の中を走り続ける。まぁ、あんまり休んでいると気温が更に下がって路面凍結ってことにもなりかねないから、先を急ぐのだ。

After a short break, I continue riding in the snow. If I rested too long, the temp might drop even lower and the surface of the road might be frozen. So I had to push myself going.

レゲンスブルクまで200キロ、150キロ、100キロ、標識を見る度に気持ちを奮い立たせながら走る。

Every time I see the post 200km, 150km, 100km to Regensburg, I had to get motivated going ahead.

本当に寒い。まぁ、バイザーを開けっ放しで走ってるからなんだけど。

It was seriously cold. Well it was partly because I was riding with the visor opened.

バイザーには曇り防止の機能が付いているんだけど、ここまで寒いと役に立たない。

I installed anti-glared film on the visor. It works well usually but with this low temp, it was useless...

考えてみれば、雪の中を走るのは3年前に香川に向かう途中児島半島で雪に降られたとき以来だ。あの時も3月だったな。(ウシュアイアのガリバルディ峠で少し雪に降られたけど、ほんの短い間だったからね)

I realised that last time I was riding in the snow was 3 years ago in Japan. I was heading to Kafawa, Shikoku, and just before the big bridge "Seto Ohashi", it snowed a lot in Kojima peninsula. (Well actually it snowed at Paso Garibaldi in Ushuaia, but it was a short time)

震えながら、ようやくレゲンスブルクの市街地に入った！

Finally I got to Regensburg! I was shivering!

ここレゲンスブルクは神聖ローマ帝国の首都も置かれたことがある歴史有る古都。

Here Regensburg was once the capital of the Holly Roman Empire.

ドイツ人に聞くと「レゲンスブルクは良いところだ」、と口を揃えていう。

Many Germans said to me Regensburg is a nice place.

が、しかし、去年も2回ここを訪れようとしてるんだけど、2回とも雨で取りやめたのだ。

But last 2 times when I wanted to visit this place, it was raining... So I didn't come here before.

で、三度目の正直が雪。

Then this time it was snowing, and I am here!

レゲンスブルクは「雨城」という意味らしい。

Regensburg means "Rainy Castle" so I heard.

なるほど、ね。

Well it is indeed!

ようやく宿に辿り着いた！野外駐車場にエスペランサを停めて、早速チェックイン。

Finally I got here. I parked Esperanza at the parking lot and checked in.

暖房がありがたい。

I loved the heater!

ホテルの近くに安スーパーのリデルがあったからそこでパン、生ハム、チーズ、飲み物を買って宿で夕飯。〆て3.90ユーロなり。

I found LIDLE - the discount supermarket nearby, so I bought breads, Palma ham, cheese and drinks. It was €3.90 for all of them.

流石に寒さで体力が奪われたのだろう。飯を食べ終わると疲労が一気に来た。

As I used lots of energy while riding, after the meal, I got so tired...

そうだ、風邪をひかないようにしないと。

Oh, I should not catch a cold. I have to be careful.

明日はファイナルドライブのオイル交換をしてからチェコのピルセンに向かう予定。トーマスとパーベルと再会が楽しみ！

Tomorrow I will change the oil of the final drive, then will ride to Plzen to see my friends Tom and Pavel!
