Armenia to Rosa de Lima
27,262km  to 27,539km = 277km 

今日は国境付近の街まで300キロ足らず走るだけなので、ゆっくりです。7時に起きて、街へ朝飯。トルティーヤにケソ、タマゴ、フリホレスとコーヒーが付いて85セント！安い。アルマニア、雰囲気も良いですし、いい街です。お勧めですよ！何にも無いけど・・・。だから写真も無し!!

9時に出発し、35キロくらい走って首都サン・サルバドルに入ってしまいました。バイパスがあるはずだったんですが、どこか分らずそのまま進んでしまいました。こうなったらサン・サルバドルのBMWディーラーExcel Automotrizへ。Paseo General Escalonという新市街の大通りに有ります。ここは英語が話せるスタッフがいたので、楽ちん！Jonathanさんです。あ、写真撮るの忘れた！
しかしここは販売だけでサービスは別のところにあると。しかも今日と明日コンベンションがあるのでメカニックは全員ヘルプで出払っているとのこと!!　これじゃぁ、行ってもしょうがない。
コンベンションのことは昨日国境でBMWライダーに聞いたんですけど、わざわざサンサルに宿泊してまで参加するつもりはないのでパス。

Jonathanさんにサン・ミゲル(San Miguel)への一番早い道を教わって、出発。一旦南下して（空港方面を目指して）CA2に出ました。山から下ってきたので暑い！

しばらく低地を走り、ウスルタン（Usulutan)を越えてしばらくしたら北上しサン・ミゲルに入りました。途中で少年たちが物売りしているのですが、緑色のトカゲを売ってました。結構何人も売ってるんですね。死んでるのでペット用ではないですね。食用ですね。それまではカニとか魚をてに持って売っていたんですがね。停まって写真撮ればよかった。

それにしても暑い！サン・ミゲルはかなりの都会です。昼飯を食べようと店を探すのにも億劫なので、ショッピング・モールへ。バーガーキング、KFC、ウェンディーズ、そして我が日本代表Mr.ドーナッツなどあります。ここはアメリカか？と間違えるほどの光景です。駐車場の整理の人も英語話せました。エル・サルバドルは貨幣も米ドルですしアメリカ合衆国の影響が大きいのでしょうね。

フードコートがあったのですが、5ドル以上と高いので、バーガーキングでワッパー・ドブレのキングサイズ5.99ドルを注文。暑いので体力消耗してるから、これくらいの贅沢は許されるでしょう！
やっぱ、バーガーキングは美味いなぁ。

ショッピングモール内でエル・サルバドル国旗のステッカーを探すも不発に終わる。いろいろな店で聞いたのですが、ありませんでした。

ここから国境付近の街サンタ・ローサ・デ・リマ（Santa Rosa de Lima)まで30分くらい。ちょっと本線から外れているので（10キロくらい）、うっかり国境まで行ってしまいました。国境t前で早速国境ガイドが集ってきました・・・。英語が話せると売り込んできたRodolofo。5ドルと言ってましたが、今まで国境を越えた人の情報を元に考えると、全く信用できません。「今日1時間で越えられる」と行ってましたが、もう3時前なので「明日にするよ」と言って街のほうに引き返しました。

で、今サンタ・ローサ・デ・リマのモーテル「El Tejano Amigo」で涼んでいます。ツインで25ドルとちょっと高目ですが、エアコンがあるので快適です。  

夕方までネット。昨日のブログをアップしたりEメールを見たり返信したり。ウメザワさんと明日の国境越えについての作戦会議。強い意志を持って臨みます。

夜は焼肉定食です。って言っても中米版焼肉ですが。美味しかったですよ。水とかジュースも買ったんで5.50ドルしましたが、たぶん定食は2.50か3ドルだと思います。

明日は朝一番に国境越えをします。まだ涼しいでしょうし、時間にゆとりがあるのはいいことです。

エル・サルバドルで使ったお金： 5ドル（地方のペルミソ）、10ドル（アルメニアでの宿代）、2.35ドル（タコス）、0.85ドル（朝飯）、12.80ドル（ガソリン代）、5.99ドル（バーガーキング）、4.52ドル（ガソリン代）、12.50ドル（リマでの宿代）、5.50ドル（夕飯とミネラル水2本）= 59.51ドル。やはり移動してるとお金がかかりますね。

Armenia to Rosa de Lima

We woke up at 7am and went to have breakfast in the town. The breakfast set came with scrumbled egg, frejoles, queso, 3 tortillas and a cup of cofee. It cost 85 cents!  This is the cheapest meal I have had during this trip so far. The people here in Armenia are very friendly and now I like here, El Salvador.

As we wanted to make to Santa Rosa De Lima, the town near Honduras border, today, we did not need to hurry at all. We left the hostel Armenia at 9am and headed east.
We wanted to bypass San Salvador, the capital, but we could not find the bypass, so here we go, we were in the big city with full of traffic.

Since we were there already, we went to Excel Automotriz, the BMW dealer to check my accelerator. The staff here, Jonathan, speaks English, it was easy to communicate! But the service shop is located at different place and since a big convension is going on today and tomorrow in San Salvador, there would be no mechanic at the workshop....
Well, the accelerator is not in bad condition (it is not smooth as before though), so we took off to San Miguel. If I have time in San Jose, Costa Rica, I will take my GS to the BMW dealer there.

Jonathan told us to take a right turn at 49th Ave, which will lead to San Miguel, and we did. But it took us to CA2, running near the coast. Whih means, it is hot hot hot!! 

After passing Usulutan, we took the direction to north and arrived San Miguel. Interesting thing was those street venders were selling lizards (I think they were no alive, so they were for eating). I should have stopped and taken photos of them! 

San Miguel is a big city. We were looking for the place to eat but it was too hot to search. So we went 
into a shopping mall. It looked like as if we were in the States. The person at the parking entrance spoke English as well. El Salvador is so much more Americanised than Mexico or Guatemala. I am not sure if it is good or bad though.

There were KFC, Burger KIng, Pizza Hut, Wendy's and Mr. Donuts. It was so much like one of American Shopping Malls. There was a food court as well. And it is called "Food Court". But the price was expensive. So we ate at Burger King. My Whapper Duble King Size cost US$5.99! THe same price as in the States. But I had been consuming lots of energy due to heat, I should be forgiven to spend that much.

We looked for a sticker of El Salvador flag, but we could not find it there. So we took off to the border town Santa Rosa de Lima. It took us more than 30mins to get there. The road condition was not that smooth but still Ok. The town is located a little away from the main road, so we missed it and went into the border. Those "guide" came to us and started negociations with us. But we told them we will cross the border tomorrow. One of the guy, Rodolofo spoke English and he told us it would be only US$5 for each of us. But we knew it was bullshit. Anyway, we went back the same way and found a hotel in the town. The hotel is "El Tejano Amigo". It costs US$25 for twin bed room with air-cond and private shower and toilet. It isn't the cheapest option probably, but we took it as it was air-cond, which we needed badly.

Tomorrow we will cross the border in the morning. May be around 7:30am we will get there.
