メキシコシティ10日目、さよならブライアン！ / Mexico City Day 10, Bien Viaje Brian!
Day98: 2010年10月30日
Mexico City
25,142km to 25,169km = 27km
今日はブライアンが出発する日です。ワシも途中まで見送りに行くので、朝から準備をします。相変わらずブライアン、準備が速い！ワシはオイルを足したりしてブライアンを待たせてしまいました。
どこまで見送るか全然考えてなかったのですが、Oaxacaのサインが出てきてしばらくしてから大渋滞したのでそこで別れることに。次は彼の国イギリスで再会ですね。
ナビを使ってアミーゴまで。メキシコシティの道は一方通行が多いですし、いきなり左右車線が入れ替わったりで訳わかりません。危険区域テピートでナビ通りに行ってたら一方通行へ突っ込んでしまいました。標識は無いし、バスは逆走？してるし、一応信号もこっち向きにあるのでバスの後ろを走ってたら警察に止められました…。やはりダメだったか。
今回は違反をしてしまったので、言い逃れはできません。下手するとバイク4日間没収されます。ここは例の袖の下で何度か逃れました。200ペソで済まそうとしたのですが、500ペソが財布に入ってるのを見られてそっちを取られました。まあ、仕方ないですね。
その後無事にアミーゴに到着するかと思いきや、また警察に止められました。今回は何も違反してないので、ずっと英語で対応してたらたまたまチャリで来たおっさんが英語少し出来たので助け舟になってくれました。結局お咎め無しでしたが、何なんだ⁉
アミーゴに帰りゆっくりしょうと思ったら、ケイちゃんとちひろちゃんの市内見学に付き合う事に。アラメダ公園、ソカロ、リベラ博物館など見て回りました。ソカロは死者の日の前だけあって、盛り上がってましたよ。
アミーゴに戻ったら、シゲさんのバイクが戻ってました。治ったみたいですね。さてと今日は早く寝るか。
Day98: 30 OCT 2010

This morning Brian took off to Oaxaca. As usual he was very quick to get ready! I needed to add some engine oil and let him wait... Sorry Brian.
I followed him for a while but we were caught in a trrafic jam, so I turned around to the hostel.
Good luck and have safe and fun riding, Brian!! I see you in UK.
One the way back to the hostel, I entered the oneway traffic from the wrong direction and caught by Police in Tepito... There was no sign showing it was oneway and a bus was going against the traffic. There are traffic lihghts on both directions, so I thought it was Ok to go through. But at the same time, I thought it could be "Bus Only" lane. Anyway, as I commited a traffic offence, so it was hard to get out from this situation. They could confiscate my bike for 4 days and there is no gurantee I can get back my bike. They started "ask" for bribe and I tried to get away with MX$200 but there was MX$500 note in my wallet!! The policeman saw the note!! He wasn't satisfied with MX$200 and asked for MX$500...
With MX$500 I got freedom... It was an expensive lesson but good thing is that my bike is still with me.
Just before the hostel, I was stopped by another police car, but I did not do anything wrong this time. The policeman was saying something about my licence plate. But as I did nothing wrong I could be strong this time. Luckily there was a man speaking some English came along and he helped me out of the situation!
Back to the hostel, Keiko and Chihiro askedme out for city sightseeing. I was little exhausted from the police incidents, but I showed them around. I'm glad they were happy to see around the city. We went to Zocalo, Alameda Park and the museum of Diego Rivera.
Shigeru's bike is now kind of fixed, and he is planning to leave here early Nov.
