一路クラカウへ / Coming to Krakow

Day 756: 2012年8月21日

Warsaw toKrakow - Poland (4 Friends Hostel)
80,859km to 81,160km = 301km

今日は朝から雨。昨日の炎天下は嘘のよう。

It was raining from the morning. I could not believe it was such a sunny and hot day yesterday.

天気予報を見ると降雨率90%（まぁ、降っているので、降雨率はどうもいいことなんですけど）、小雨に通り雨、雷雨を伴うと。フム、となると雨は一時的なものですね。

I checked the weather forcast and it stated "90% chance of rain, light rain, showers and thunderstorm". Well, it could be a temporal rain.

なのでマサ君とダベりながら雨が上がるのを待ち、10時半に出発。そのころにはかなり晴れ間も広がってました。蒸し暑い!

So I waited till the rain stop.　The rain stopped by 10am and it got sunny and really hot and humid!! I left the hostel by 10:30am.

快晴だったらちょとルブリン（Lublin）に寄り道をしようと考えていたんですが、いつ雨が降り出すかわからないので、真っ直ぐにクラカウに向かいます。

If it was a clear day, I was thinking to make a detour to Lublin, but I did not know when the rain would come back. So I rode straight to Krakow.

首都ワルシャワから古都クラカウまでは国道が通ってますので、単調です。まあ、ポーランド自体が平坦なのもありますが。ずーっと、畑や牧場、森が広がります。たまに街がちらほら。風景的には見るもの無し。クラカウの南部、スロバキアとの国境の方には山があるとのことなので、それまでガマン。

From the capital Warsaw to the old capital Krakow, thereis a main highway connected, so the route was damn boring. Poland itself is very flat and I only could see farms, cattle farms and forests. Well there were some towns in between. I heard that there are mountains in the south of Krakow - near the border to Slovakia, so I am looking forward riding through the curves there!

幸い雨は降りませんでしたが、晴れるとかなり暑くなります。気温は30度前後。ジャケットの中は汗だく。やはりまだ熱あるのかな??

Fortunately it did not rain at all, but it became quite hot. The air temp was around 30°. I was sweating a lot inside the jacket. I guess I did have the fever still.

そう、まだ風邪を引きずっているらしく、咳がでます。鼻水と痰が出るのでまだまだ身体と菌が闘っている状態ですね。

Actually, I still cough and have a running nose. My body is still fighting agains the flu.

クラカウには3時ごろ到着。今日の宿は市内から7-8キロ離れた「4Friends Hostel」です。本当は市内の宿に泊まりたいのですが、駐車場の関係上ここにしました。

I got to Krakow around 3pm. Te hostel I am staying is located 7-8km away from the city centre. If I could I would like to stay closer to the city centre, but due to the parking availability, I am staying far away from the centre.

チェックインをして洗濯をしたり。ネットをしていたら、マサ君が意外に早く5時過ぎに到着。近くのスーパーに買出しに行き、晩飯の食材を。

After check-in, I did some laundry and surfing the net, then Masa arrived around 5pm, earlier than I expected. We went to a supermarket to get some foods.

今日は七面鳥肉のリゾットを作りました。キッチンにはHCコンロ1個しかないので、ちょっと料理をするのには不向き・・・。温度が高くなりすぎで、フライパンの底が赤くなるくらい。温度調整をするのにかなり苦労しました。が、

We made turkey risotto. There was only one HC table top stove... It was really hard to get the heat right (it tended to be too hot!!).

かなり出来のいいリゾットが仕上がりました!!

But the end result was pretty good! Buen provecho!!

夜はマサ君と尖閣諸島や竹島の領土問題から、経済問題などなどを討論。近日中にいろいろ自分の考えなどを文章にまとめたいと思っているのですが、5日くらい落ち着ける場所が欲しいですね。

We talked about Japan's terriorial disputes with Korea and China, economic issue and so on. I would like to write my idea and post it on the blog, but I need to have somewhere I could spend 5days or so quietly.

今日は移動だけの1日となりました。まぁ、マサ君との夜の討論は良かったんですけどね。
明日はクラカウの街散策です。ポーランド人も勧めるクラカウの街。楽しみです。
