Stockholm - Sweden (Hotel New World)

今日はカーテンを閉めてなかったので、朝日が射し込んでいて6時半に目が覚めてしまいました。流石北緯59度。日の出が早いです。

As we did ot close the curtains, the sun light got into the room and  I woke up at 6:30am. Well here is at latitude N59°, the sun rises really early.

まぁ、こんなに早起きしても仕方ないので7時以降までウダウダ。それから宿の朝飯を。なんとビュッフェ形式で取り放題。最近太り気味なので、ちょっと抑えていかないとなぁ。

There would be nothing much to do even though I got up such early, so I went to asleep again. Here at New World Hotel, breakfast is buffet style. Nice. But I got to be careful with my weight now.

9時ごろまでゴローさんと歓談しながらウダウダ。今日は天気がいいので暑くなりそうですね。

Until 9am, I was talking with Goro in the hotel. It was a sunny day and it looked like going to be a hot day.

歩いて最寄の駅まで。宿のある場所は倉庫街なんです。ゴローさんの帽子をかぶってるワシ。

We walked to a nearby train station. We walked pass those warehouses. I wore Goro's hat.


















車道と歩道が別れていて、結構複雑なので、かなり迷って駅まで到着。電車の内装のデザインがなんかシドニーのシティーレールの車両みたい。

It was pretty complocated to get to the station (footpaths and roads were separated and it was hard to get orientations) and took a long time to get to the station. The interior of the train looked like one of Sydney's CityRail.

















最寄の駅からストックホルム中央駅までは2駅なので直ぐです。駅を出ると早速目に入るのがサンタ・クララ教会。

There were only 2 stops to Stockholm Central. Once we stepped out of the station, there was Santa Clara Church.


















中は今まで訪れた教会とちょっと趣が違いますね。柱や梁のペインティングがイイ感じです。ステンドグラスもイイですね。

The interior of the church was different from those churches I visited before. The decorating painting of the beams and pillars were nice. Stained glasses were pretty too.

















旧市街ガムラ・スタン（Gamla Stan）を散策します。王宮近くの銅像。

We walked to the old towm of Stockholm - Gamla Stan. A bronze statue near Royal Palace.






















王宮前広場から国立博物館を眺めた風景。なかなか絵になります。

From the Plaza in front of the palace, there was a nice view if the sea. Opposite side of the sea was Notional Museum.



















丁度衛兵の交代式があって、騎兵隊が目の前を通り過ぎていきました。北欧の人は背が高い、って印象がありましたが、騎兵隊士は結構小さい人が多いですね。やはり軽いほうが有利だからでしょうか?

There was a ceremony of changing royal guards when we got there. A cacalry walked pass in front of us. I thought all Swedish people would be realy tall, but those in the cavalry were quite short. Well, it would be better to be lighter on the horse.


















モーテン・トローツィグ・グレン（Morten Trotziggrand）という幅90センチも無い小路。そういえばメキシコのグアナファトにも「口付け小路」って狭い通りがあったな。

Morten Troziggrand - the most narrow walk path in the old town - 90cm wide. There was a similar path "Alley of the kiss (Callejon del Beso)" in Guanajato, Mexio.

それから市庁舎へ。銅像がちょっとエロい。対岸はガムラ・スタンです。

Then we walked to the city hall. The statue was little erotic. The another side of the shore is the old town.


















市庁舎の塔。登るのに40クローネ。ゴローさんが登っている間ワシは昼寝。

The tower of the city hall. It cost 40Ks to climb up, so I waited for Goro at the plaza.






















ちょっとお洒落な建物ですが、1階はセブンイレブンなんです。色使いが上手いせいでしょうか、お洒落な雰囲気を乱してません。こういう気遣いが美しい街並みを創りだしているのでしょう。

A nice old building, but there is a Seven-Eleven store at the grond floor! It is noce to keep the street / town scenery neat lke this.

















夜は日本人オーナー経営の「Cafe Mix」にて夕食。ワシはステーキを。ゴローさんはニシンのフライに苔桃ソースというスウェーデンの代表料理を。ベリーのジャムなんですが、そんなに甘くなく、以外にいけるそうです。

We had dinner at a cafe "Cafe Mix" owned by a Japanese family. I had a steak but Goro tried Swedish tradtional buttered herrings with berry sauce.  The berry sauce was not that sweet, rather sour, so it goes well with buttered fish.

















ストックホルムはキレイな街でした。ただ、トイレが有料なのが（男子小便所だけは無料なんですが手洗いが無い）玉に瑕ですかね。

Stockholm is a nice beautiful city. But there is no free toilet around the city (only male urninal bowls were free to use, but they do not come with hand washing basin...).

さて、明日は北上を開始します。今日地図を買ったので、どのルートで北上するか検討中です。恐らく70号でノルウェーに抜けて4-5日かけてノールカップに到着するつもりです。ネット環境はあまり望めないので、アップは遅くなるかもしれません。

Well, I will continue riding up north tomorrow! I bought a map today and I am studying whch route I could take. I am thinking to take Route 70 to Norway and will spend 4-5 days to Nordkapp. There would not be much Internet connection available I assume, so I would not be able to update the blog aften.

ストックホルムはコペンハーゲンより全然よかったです。しかし、物価が高い!!　長居すると破産してしまいますので、最北端「ノルドカップ」を目指し早速移動を開始します。
