サンディエゴ / San Diego
Day68: 2010年9月30日
San Bernardino to San Diego
21,089km to 21,321km = 232km
エルトンは8時には出掛けなければいけないなで7時に起きて朝飯を頂きます。昨晩は泊めていただいた上にステッカーやブラジルのバッジを貰ったり、本当にお世話になりました。
エルトンに教えてもらった道でちょっと寄り道しながらサンディエゴに行こうかな、とも思いましたが、雲行きも悪いし15号で直接的行く事にしました。
100マイルくらいなので10時前にはサンディエゴの周辺に着いてしまいました。雨が降ったり止んだりの一日です。
ネットでキャンプ場を探すも何だか45ドルとか異常に高いです。仕方がないのでホステルを探す事に。
一応ビジターセンターに行ったのですが、おばちゃんもキャンプ場は高いからホステルの方を進められました。オーシャンビューって所が安くて良さそうなので行ったのですが、駐車場がなくて路駐。歩いている人たちもあまりガラがよく無いので違うホステルに。
LAで泊まったバナナバンガローの姉妹宿にしました。しかしLAのは綺麗で快適でしたが、ここは汚いし海風がモロです。友達のKwunは10月2日まで帰って来ないので2泊することに。ここはサーファーが多いですね。
昼メシを食べて荷物をおろしてネットをしばらくしたら寝てしまいました。もうグダグダです。
Day68: 30Sept2010
San Bernardino to San Diego

As Elton had to leave home by 8am, we got up at 7am and got ready. He gave us stickers and the pin of Brazilian flag. Thank you so much, Elton.
We were thinking to take the way Elton suggested (going to Salton Sea) but it was cloudy and looked like going to rain, so we decided to take the route 15 to San Diego.
It is less than 100 miles to San Diego, so before 10am we were in the fringe of San Diego.
We looked up campgrounds on Internet but the rates are $45 minimum! It looks like it's better to stay in a hostel. We went to Visitor Centre and the lady told us the same, better stay in a hostel.
We went to Ocean View Hostel but they have only street parking and the neighborhood seems a little dodgy. So we went to Banana Bungalow SD. It costs $47 for 2 nights. The room is not clean and comfy as one in LA though. Here is beach front and full of surfers.
After having lunch at Burger King and off loading baggage, we had a nap. Well, our motivation tones down and we get lazy in a big city.
Here in San Diego, we need to visit the consulate general of Mexico and service my GS. My friend Kwun will be back on Saturday, so I will see him and install new set of panniers to my GS at his place.
