Day 403: 2011年9月1日

Samaipata to La Higuera (Posada Casa Del Telegrafista)

今日はいよいよ「チェ・ゲバラの道(Ruta del Che)」を走ります。9時に出発。
宿のトレントとチャーリーにはラ・イゲラとスクレの宿情報を頂きました。ありがとう。

サマイパタからヴァジェグランデ(Valle Grande)までは舗装路です。マタラル(Mataral)まで西に走りそこから南下します。多少のワインディングがある道です。

ヴァジェグランデに入った途端、未舗装になります。街の中心部は舗装されているのですが、それ以外はガタガタ。この先が思いやられます。

先ずはエルネストの遺体が晒された病院エル・セニュール・デ・マルタ(El Senor de Malta)へ。ここの病院は未だに機能しています。

病院の裏庭にそのままGSで乗り込みます。エルネストが晒された洗濯場は裏庭にあります。世界各国から訪れた人の落書きが建物の隅から隅まで。改めて彼の人気が伺われますね。

実際彼が晒されたときの写真や映像で見てましたが、実際にこの目で現場を見ることが出来ました。感慨深いですね。ここに「彼の頭があって足がここ」など想像してみました。

次は彼の痛いが埋められていた場所へ。プラザにツーリスト・オフィスがあるのでそこでガイドを雇っていかなければなりません。先ずは博物館へ10ボリ（すごく小さいです）。1階は考古学的出土品の展示。2回はエルネストの写真や年表、服のレプリカの展示、彼らのゲリラ活動の軌跡などを説明してます。彼らのゲリラ活動が当時のボリビア政府にとって一大事だったことがわかります。彼の遺体が発見されて発掘されたときの写真もありました。

そしてガイドを後ろに乗せて「お墓」の方へ。ここは彼の死後30年経った1997年7月6日（だったかな）に当時の関係者の自白により発見されました。

街の共同墓地に隣接した地ころにあります。エルネスト含め7人のゲリラ戦士の遺体が埋葬されていました。今は立派な建物が遺体を埋葬していた場所を覆っています。2007年に完成したそうです。









中には彼らが埋葬されていた場所に石碑、そしてエルネストの幼少期から晩年までの写真が展示されています。エルネストと広島城（多分）が移っている写真もありました。

それから彼のゲリラ軍の他の仲間たちが埋葬されていた場所へ。ここは「ターニャの墓」として知られています。彼女はアルゼンチン人でエルネスト率いるゲリラ軍のメンバー。ホアキン率いる別働隊として行動していました。まぁ、エルネストの恋人だったのでは、とか色々憶測が有りますが、そんなことはどうでもいいことですね。彼らはエルネストに先立つ8月28日に殺害されたそうです。

それから街に戻り、給油と昼飯。一路ラ・イゲラ村(La Higuera)に向かいます。






ラ・イゲラまでは所々の分岐点に「Ruta del Che」とあるので迷わずにいけます。プカラ(Pucara)という村までは谷沿いのダート。デス・ロードよりも荒れていますが、いい風景です。大体3速から4速で走る感じでダートを抜けていきます。

プカラからしばらくしてラ・イゲラへの分岐点があります。ここからが悪路!!　のっけからガレてます。しかしガレ場は直ぐに終わりさっきの同じ感じのダート。しかし所々酷いガレ場だったりして走りにくい。1速と2速で走ります。距離10キロ足らずと短いのですがなかなかラ・イゲラに到着できません。ようやくラ・イゲラに到着したのは3時半ごろ。







村の中心部（というか本当に小さい集落なのです。人口44人。）に本や雑誌でよくみる彼の胸像があります。また葉巻を右手に掲げた全身銅像もあります。早速GSを停めて写真。オバちゃんがやってきて彼が射殺された小学校に案内する、と。彼女に銅像と胸像と一緒に写真を撮ってもらいました。






小学校には何にも有りません。入るのに10ボリ。写真とか当時の木ドアとかが展示されていますが、何にも知らなければ何の変哲もない建物です。しかし当にここでエルネストは銃で撃たれ息を引き取りました。

オバちゃんは「Comunal Hostel」を経営しているようで宿に泊まるか、と訊いてきました。行ってみると、バイクを中に入れにくそうなので、アダムやトレントに勧められた「Posada Casa Del Telegrafista」にしました。
テントは20ボリ、部屋は50ボリ。明日スクレまで行くつもりなのですが8－9時間かかるというので、時間節約のために部屋を取りました。

日記を書いているうちに日没。流石に標高2,020㍍なので夜は冷えます。夜になったらサマイパタからの四駆ツアー客が3人来ました。ガイドのルイージは2007年にKRL650でアラスカからウシュアイアまで走ったこともあるとか。バイク話に盛り上がります。夕飯後はみんなで近くのBARに行って映画{FIDEL」を鑑賞。全部スペイン語で字幕なしなのでわからないところも有りましたが、それなりに楽しめました。

さて明日はスクレまで。距離は大したこと無いのですが、道が粗いので心してかかります。



Day 403: 01 SEP 2011

Samaipata to La Higuera (Alojamiento Telegrafia)

Today I went through "Ruta del Che". I left the posada at 9am. The owner couple Trent and Charlie treated me nice and gave me information where I could stay in La Higuera and Sucre. Thanks.

The road to Viallegrande was almost all the way paved. As usual in Latin America, some part of the road were dirt. Probably the reason why they were left unpaved was lack of funding but....
Until Mataral kept going west then turn lef to south. THe road was a little twisty but not too much.

As soon as entering Vallegrande, it became dirt. The centre of the town was paved, but the rest was pretty badly shaped dirt roads... It would be hard to ride through to La Higuera...

Firstly I went to the hospital "EL Senor de Malta" where Ernesto's body was exposed ad photographed. THe hospital was still in operation.
The "laundry" building was located at the backyard of the hospital. I could ride into the backyard.

I have seen the photos and video footage of the place,and now finally I was there. The building was covered by aitograph of those visitors from around the world. It shows how popular Ernesto is in this day.

I stood inside the building and imaginig where his head was, his feet were. It was 44 years ago, his body was here.

Then I went to the Plaza where the tourist office located. In order to visit the "graveyard" of Ernesto, I had to go with a guide.There was a little musuem at the plaza exhibiting arheological artifacts at the groud foor and photos, falendar od his guerrilla acticities in Bolivia and so on at the 1st floor.
The entrance was 10Bs. It was interesting to see those photos of him.

The guide hopped on the back seat of my GS and we went to the "graveyard". It was located near the community cemetary of the town and was discovered in 1997 due to testimony of obe guy who burried Ernesto and his mates.

7 bodies including Ernesto were found here. NOw the place was covered by a building (built on 2007). Inside there were tomb stones of those 7 guerrillas and phots of Ernesto from his infany to his death.

Then he took me to another graveyard where other member if guerrillas were burried. Here was known as "Tania's grave". She was the member of his guerrilla and was belonged to Joaquin's platoon.

Back to the centro, filled up petrol and had lunch and continued "Ruta del Che". The road to Pucara was dirt but it wasn't that bad. Worse than "Death ROad" but I could ride on 3rd or 4th gear. He scenery was excellent. On any junction, there was a sign "Ruta del CHe", so I could navigate the way easily.

But after the junction of La Higuera from the main dirt, the condition was pretty bad... Rough gravel trail. The rocks were really big and loose, so I had to be careful not to drop my GS. There were rough sections through out the way, so just less than 10km, as I had to ride with 1st or 2nd gear, it took long time to get to La HIguera. I got there after 3pm.
 
The village of La Higuera was really small. Only 44 people living there. At the centre of the village - the plaza - there were the statute of Ernesto "Che" Guevara and behind the statue the famous head statue of him.

As I parked my GS in front of the statue, a lady came around and asked me if I wanted to visit the primary school where he was shot. I said, "Yes, please."  I asked her to take some photos of me with the statues.

The primary school was located just 100m up from the plaza. The entrance fee was 10Bs. It was very plain building. Nothing much there. Just photos of Ernesto and the original gate used when he was shot, and photos of visitors. But "here" he was shot and died. 

I stayed a night at "Posada Casa Del Telegrafista" recommended by Adam and Trent. It was realy nice place. No electricity though!!

I was writing diary and it got dark. As La Higuera is at 2,020m, it got chilly after the dark. 3 tourists and 1 Bolivian tour guide arrived after the sunset. After dinner, we went to a bar to watch a move "Fidel". It was in Spanish and no subtitle, but it was a nice way to spend a night at La Hiuera. 

Tomorrow I will try to get to Sucre. The distance is not far, but the road will be tough.

Day 402: 2011年8月31日

Santa Cruz de la Sierra to Samaipata (La Posada del Sol)

朝7時半ごろ白人パッカーたちの話し声（中庭で朝から大声です）で起こされました。今日も曇りがちで風が強いですね。朝飯を食べ、シャワーを浴びて出発の準備。スカイプで一応パブロにバイクの整備は出来たか確認。全てOKとのこと。料金は164米ドル（1,140ボリ）と安い!!　

9時20分ごろチェックアウトし歩いてAnder Motorsまで。20分ちょいで到着。我がエスペランサは外で磨かれております。パブロがサービスの内容を説明。リア・ショックに以上はなく、またコンピューターからも特に以上は見られなかったと。これで一安心ですね。

お金を払って早速出発の準備に取り掛かります。着替えたり荷物を積んだり、サマイパタまでどう抜けるかを訊いたり、となんだかんだで出発は11時前になってしまいました。
どうもありがとうAnder Motorsの人たち!!

先ずはガソリンスタンドに寄ってオクタンブースターを2本購入。これでスクレまでもちますね。
その後はずっと進路を西へ。パブロが行ってたようにスピードを減速させるためのデコボコが無数にあります。

途中小さな町（村）を何箇所か過ぎます。「あぁ、エルネストもこの道を通ってこの風景を見たのだなぁ」と思うとかんがいも一入です。60キロくらい走った後山に入ります。左手には川が流れワインディング道を抜けていきます。多少登りですね。

所々ダートになります。舗装路がいきなり途切れてダートになり、また舗装が始まるのは何故なんでしょう??

サマイパタは標高1,600㍍なのでジワジワと登っていきます。あと20キロくらいのところで前の車につっかえてガタガタ道でクラッチを切ったら、アイドリングがストップしました…。それからしばらくしてまた同じ現象が!!　コンピュータでは異常ないとでたので、恐らくガソリンの問題でしょう。それ以降は同じ現象起こりませんでした。

サマイパタに到着したのは1時半過ぎ。早速昼飯。10ボリ。「ガレージがある宿を知らないか？」と訪ねたら「La Pasada del Solがいい」、と進められました。なので早速行ってみることに。その前に給油。田舎町では「外国人料金」は取られません。

La Posada del Solは街のちょっと外れに在ります。個室110ボリで朝食付き（シャワー・トイレ付き）。WiFiは残念ながら有りません。旦那さんのトレントはテキサス人で奥さんのチャーリーはボリビア人。ちょっと高いけどなかなか素敵な宿です。

「EL Fuerteに行きたいのだけど、歩いていけるかな？」と訊いたら、「10キロあるわよ。今からだと歩きじゃ無理ね。タクシーで行って歩いて帰ってくるっていうテはあるけど、5時に遺跡は閉まるから、ちょっと遅いわね」と。なるほど、諦めるか、明日行くかですね。

街の中心まで出て散策。ツーリスト・インフォやツアー会社は全部シエスタで閉まっています…。ここにはエルネスト率いるゲリラ部隊が物資を買いに来た店があるとか（ニャンコ先生談）で、それを見つけようと思って探します。

ツーリスト・インフォがようやく開いたので訊いてみると、「そんなのは無い」と…。うーん、スペイン語だから上手く伝わらないのかな？　El Fuerteに入るには50ボリかかるというので断念しました。

ツアー会社で訊いて「プラザ近くの鳥の形をした公衆電話の辺りよ。でももう店は閉まっているの」というので行って見ましたが、どれだか良くわからないですね。試しに近くの店で訊いて見ると、違う場所に行けと。そこに行ってまた店に訊くと、また違う場所…、そしてまた違う場所とグルグル。

仕方が無いのでまた別のツアー会社で訊いてみると、「あそこの白い2階建ての建物よ。でももう店は閉まっているわ」と。なるほど、さっきの鳥電話の近くですな。これでようやく場所はわかりました。行ってみると、まぁ、店はもう無いわで何も無いですね。しかしエルネストが歩いた場所にいるんだなぁ、と。

その後宿に戻り、日記の英語版を書こうとしたら睡魔が。昼寝。6時に起きて宿で夕飯。スペイン人のホセ（Jose)と知り合いました。アイルランドのダブリンでスペイン語教師をしているそうで英語が流暢。
日本にも来た事があるようで色々な話しをしました。楽しい夕食となりました。

そうそう走っている途中で気が付いたのですが、Ander Motors、プラグ交換とミッション・オイル交換を忘れているような…。レシートを見てみると、プラグについては何も書いていないんですね。
ミッション・オイルもどうやら抜けているよう。ファイナル・ドライブのグリースアップはしてあるようです。うーん、これはアルゼンチンの北部でプラグとミッション・オイル交換だな。

さて明日はヴァジェグランデ（エルネストの遺体が晒された病院）、そしてラ・イゲラ村（エルネストが射殺された小学校）を訪ねます。



Day 402: 31 AUG 2011

Santa Cruz de la Sierra to Samaipata (La Posada del Sol)

I was awaked by the roud talking by those backpackers around 7:30am... It was cloudy again this morning and windy.

I got ready by 9am and called Pablo if my GS was ready to go. He said everything was done and there was no problem with the rear shock absorber and idling. That was a really good news.
The cost of the service was US$164 (1,140Bs), which was really cheap!
 
I left the hostel around 9:20am and walked to Ander Motors. It took me 30mins or so. Once arrived there, I saw my GS being polished. I payed the fee and got ready to go.
But it took time to put back everything on the bike. I asked Pablo how to get out the city and left there around 11am.

The road to Samaipata was almost all paved, but sometimes there were dirt sections. I really don't know why many of the South American highway were not paved completely. One erason should be the lack of funding but... Also there were countless speed reduction humps on the highway...

I passed many small towns (villages) on the way. I was thinking, Ernesto might see the same scenery. After around 60kms from Santa Cruz, the highway entered the mountainous area. The road was going uphill.

Samaipata is located around 1,600m above the sea level. Around 20km before Samaipata, I stuck behind a slow car and it was on dirt section. I pulled the cluch and closed the throtte, and it happened again! The engine stopped... It happened again a few minutes later, but did not happen any more after that. According to Pablo, there was nothing wrong on the computer, so it should be due to the bad quality petrol (I hope so!).

I arrived Samaipata around 1:30pm. I had lunch at a local restaurant for 10Bs and asked if she knew any hostel with a garaje. She recommended me to go to "La Posada del Sol". I filed perol andwent to the hostel.

The hostel was owned by Texian & Bolivian couple, Trent and Charlie.  The private room (with shower&toilet, and breakfast) cost 110Bs. It was little expensive but they seemedto be nice and the room was excellent, so I decided to stay here.

I asked Charlie how to get "El FUerte". She said it was 10km away and too far to walk uphill. I could catch a cab there and walk back but as the site would be closed at 5pm, she reckoned I would not have enough time to explore. Anyway, after checked in, I walked around the town to find information.

My friend Junko told me that there was a shop where Ernesto and his guerrilla group bought supplies. I wanted to find it but the tourist information and those tour operators were closed for siesta.

After 3pm, finally the tourist info was open and asked the information on "El Fuerte" and the shop where Che bought the supplies. She said it would cost 50Bs to enter "El Fuerte", so I gave up going there. She did not know where the shop was or simply did not understand what I was asking about the shop.

I asked one of the tour operator where the shop was. She said it was near the Plaza Principal and where the public phone (the booth was in "bord" shape). But she said the shop was no longer in business.

I went there anyway, but did not know which building it was, so I went into one of shops to ask. She said it should be located in different street. So I went there and asked at a shop again. But she appointed me to another street.

The same thing happened again, so I went to another tour operator to ask. She pointed me a 2 stories while building at the cornaer and she said the shop was there. But it was closed now. And the building was very close to where the public phone was, so it should be it.

I went there, but as the shop was not in business, nothing I could see. But I was deloghted to be the same place where Ernesto was.  

Back to the hostel, I was about to wirte diaries in English but I tooka a nap. I had dinner at the hostel. Here I met Jose from Spain teacjing Spanish in Dabrin, Irland. So he spoke good ENglish and we talked a lot. It was fun night talking with him.

Oh, I realised while I was riding to Samaipata that Ander Motors forgot to replace spark plugs and transmittion oil. I checked the paper and there was no mentioning of spark plugs. As it was written in Spanish, so I wasn't sure but the transmission oil was also not mentioned.
I should replace them in the north of Argentina.

Tomorrow I will visit Valle Grande where Ernesto's body was exposed and buried. Then I will continue to La Higuera where he was shot.

Day 401: 2011年8月30日

Santa Cruz de la Sierra (Residencial Boliver)

さて今日は朝からBMWディーラーのAnder Mootrsに行って来ました。場所はハイソなエリアAvenida La Salleにあります。見た目から「ここは違う世界だ」という店構え。流石BMWです。

GSを店の前に駐車すると早速スタッフ何人かが挨拶に来ました。その中の1人がパブロ(Pablo)です。彼とはEメールで何回かやり取りしたことがあります。彼の英語はネイティブ並みです。彼曰く「2回メール返信したんだけど、受信されなかったみたいだね」と、なるほどだから返信無かったのね。「40,000㌔サービスの部品はタイミングベルト以外全てそろっているよ。」と。リア・ショックとアイドリングがたまにストップしてしまう現象、そして右パニアのことを伝えます。

この店はパリ・ダカール・ラリーに参加するほどの店だとか。だったらメカニックも信頼できるかな?　パブロがメカニックのチーフ、オスカルを紹介してくれました。オスカルにも詳細を説明。今日中には仕上がるとのこと。

パブロは「宿の目星はあるのか？なかったら社割が効く近くホテルを紹介するよ。」と。値段を聞くと85米ドル!!
五ッ星だとか。それは高すぎるよ、パブロ。低調にお断りしました。

身の回りのものだけを持ってあとは店に置いていきます。タクシーを呼んでくれて、今日泊まる宿「レジデンシャル・スクレ（Residencial Sucre)」へ。

スクレは個室110ボリ（シャワー・トイレ共同）。ビュッフェスタイルの朝食付き。WiFiあり。ドミは80ボリだったのですが、ロッカーにかける南京錠をBMWに忘れてきてしまったので、パソコンとか部屋に置いていけないんで個室にしました。この宿にはトゥーカン(Tucan)がいるんです。コロンビアでも見ましたが、これだけ間近で見るのは初めてかも。

久しぶりに自分のパソコンからネットにアクセスできました。6日分の日記をアップ。これで肩の荷が下りました。アップし終わったらもうお昼。昨日の宿の近くに中華屋があったのでそこで昼飯。チャーハン18ボリが美味い!!　夜もここにしよう。

昼飯の後はかるく散歩。今日は曇っているのであまり暑くないです。それから宿に戻り調べごと、昼寝。夜も中華に行きました。

さて明日はGSを引き取りに行ってそのままサマイパタ（Samaipata)まで足を伸ばすつもりです。午後にプレ・インカ遺跡のEL Fuerteを見学しようと思っています。

あ、そうそう、明日からまたしばらくネットにつながらなくなると思います。

Day 401: 30 AUG 2011

Santa Cruz de la Sierra (Residencial Boliver)

I took my GS to BMW dealer "Ander Motors" from the morning. It's located on Ave. La Salle, the nicer area of the city. The shop had very nice presentation.

As soon as I parked my GS in front of the shop, a few staff came out and greeted me. One of them was Pablo, who I contacted throogha few e-mails. He spoke perfect English, so I could tell him exactly what I needed here.

He introduced me the chief of the service department., Oscar. I also enplained the ame to him. According to Pablo, this shop will join "Paris Dakar Rally" this year. So I guess the quality of the mechanics here would be good. 
accomodation for today. He said I could stay at a hotel where they can get the company discount. I asked the price and it was US$85!! It was a 5star hotel. That's tooooo expensive for a traveller, Pablo.

I took stuffs I needed for a day and left everything else at the shop. Pablo caled a cab for me and it took me to a hostel I stay today "Residencial Sucre".

The rate was 110Bs for a private room (shared shower/toilet). Including buffet breakfast and WiFi. The ddorm was 80Bs, but I left my pad lock with Ander Motors, so I went for the private room for better security.

There was a Tucan in the patio of this hostel. I have seen some tucans before, but never this close!

Finally I could access to Internet using my own laptop. I updated my blog as soon as I got into my room.

When I finished updating my blog, it was already lunch time. I went to a CHinese restaurant nearby the hotel I stayed yesterday. Fried rice there was excellent. I would come back here for dinner.

After lunch I took a walk around the city. Back to the hostel, I checked a few things on the net and had a nap. I went back to the same Chinese restautant and order anoher dish. The taste was good but served in small portion....

Tomorrow I will pick up my GS and will ride to Samaipata. Then I am planning to visit the Pre-Inca arheological site "El Fuerte".

Day 400: 2011年8月29日

Cochabamba to Santa Cruz de la Sierra (Hotel Felimar)

さて今日は出発の日です。7時半に起きて準備。朝飯はメルカドでスープを。肉、ジャガイモ、ご飯が入っていてちょっとお茶漬けみたい。普段はチキン・スープを頼むのですが、今日は牛肉を。14ボリとちょっと高め。朝飯を食べて帰ってくると、ハイメが「朝飯を食べよう」と。「あ、今食べちゃったよ…。」。その心づくしがありがたい。

9時過ぎには出発の準備が出来ました。ハイメとスタッフに別れを告げて出発です。ありがとうハイメ。また会おう！Hasta luego mi amigo!!

ハイメがサンタ・クルスへは南側の旧道ではなく北側の新道がいいとアドバイスをくれたのでそちらから行くことに。

コチャバンバは標高2,500㍍くらいなのですが、一旦3,600㍍くらいまで登ります。3,000㍍を越すと流石に寒いですね。

それから150キロくらい先のVilla Tunariまで一気に標高230㍍まで下がります。くねくねと道を降りていくとキレイな川やうっそうと茂るジャングル地帯に入っていきます。そして気温はみるみる上がって行き、オンボード温度計では40度を指してます。久しぶりに気温40度を見ましたね。暑い暑い。

ところどころアスファルト舗装から石舗装になるんですね。何故なんだろう??　石舗装はガタガタと振動が激しいのでゆっくりと走らなければなりません。ある意味ダートより始末が悪いです。

Villa Tunariで給油。オクタンブースターを半分注入。そして街外れの食堂で昼飯。ポーク・ソテー（Asado de Chuleta)を。10ボリ。

ここからずっと単調な道が続きます。熱帯なので景色はジャングルっぽいのですが、見所は無し。

しばらく走ると北からの風が激しくなってきました。途中路肩の畑(?)が燃えていて強風に煽られ本格的な火事になってました。黒煙の中を突っ切ります。風に煽られ熱風が道路まで来ます。暑いの何の。

Monteroの手前でGSが総走行距離40,000キロを達成!!　しかし、旅を始めたのが走行距離6,619キロだからまだ34,000キロくらいしか走っていませんね。

サンタ・クルスには5時前に到着。GPSのマップがボリビア全体はいい加減なのでロンプラの地図が頼りです。ガソリンスタンドで給油、と思い停車。「Puremium（プレミアム）」ってあります。やったー、ようやくプレミアムガソリンが入れられると喜んでいたら、「外国ナンバーだから外国人料金で」と。ボリビア人の約3倍の値段です。

仕方ないので「まぁ、それでいいよ」というとなにやらコンピュータにワシのナンバーを入力できないとかで給油させてくれませんでした。何なんだろう、一体。ボリビアでは物を買うときよく「Factura (ファクトゥラ) = 領収書」をいるか、と訊かれるんですね。ボリビア人はなんか番号を言って領収書貰っているんですが、ワシ等はそんな番号持っていないし、「領収書はいりません」といてそれで済ませてきたんですが、ガソリンスタンドで外国人料金は今回で2回目ですね。

ここでの給油はあきらめて違うガソリンスタンドで。ここはプレミアムないのですが、オクタンブースターの半分が残っているので、それでいいやと給油。満タンで丁度50ボリ。オクタンブースターを入れていたら、スタッフ何人かとセキュリティーが来て「外国ナンバーだから料金が違うんだ」と。「え、そんなの聞いていないよ。販売する前に値段を提示しなきゃ駄目でしょう」と突っぱねると、「3ヶ月前から導入された法律なの」と。「嫌なら入れたガソリンを戻して払い戻し」とか言ってます。面倒くさいから外国人料金残り62ボリ払いましたが、なんかムカつきますね。

サンタ・クルスはもともと来る予定ではなかったので、バイクを駐車できる宿の予備知識が無かったので、日本食レストラン「ケン」で情報を訊く事にしました。この店はラパスの「ケンチャン」と一号店。オーナーのケンジさんは過去に南米をバイクで旅したこともあるのでケンジさんなら知っているかな、と。

5時半頃に到着しましたが、開店は6時から。セキュリティーのおじさんに事情を話すと快く店内に入れてくれました。しかしケンジさんは他行中。しばらく待って奥さんのミキさんが来ましたが彼女は宿の情報は良くわからないと。仕方が無いのでロンプラに載っている宿をあたってみる事に。

しかし、ことごとく駐車は出来ません…。6時を過ぎて暗くなってきましたので、焦ります。

アヤクーチョ(Ayacucho)通りを通ったらホテルに「Garaje(ガレージ）」とあります。高そうですが一応あったってみました。個室で140ボリ。朝食付き。WiFiありなので高いけどブログのアップもしたいしイイか、と決めました。しかし！ワシのPCが何故かWiFiにつながらず（セザールの家でと同じ状況）今日もブログアップ出来ず…。

夕飯は「ケン」にてカツ丼。45ボリ。味は本店よりラパスの2号店「ケンチャン」の方が上ですね。麦茶もただじゃないし。残念。

明日はGSをBMWディーラーに持って行きサービスとリア・ショックの点検です。何日か前にメールしたんだけど未だに返事が無いのでちょっと心配ですが。

Day 399: 2011年8月28日

Cochabamba(Residencial Familiar)

今日は朝起きた感じで「出発」という気がしなかったのでもう一泊することに。朝はメルカドで「チキンスープ(Caldo de Pollo)」を。10ボリ。ハイメが今夜友達が来るので魚を炭火で焼くというので参加させてもらうことに。楽しみですね。

なんかすっごく眠かったので昼寝。5時ごろ起きて散歩。

夕方BBQ台の周辺が暗いので電球を取り付けることに。ブレーカーから電線を延ばして中国製のコンセントを取り付けます。最初に取り付けたときはショートして家中の電気が切れてしまいました。一旦外してブレーカーを上げてもう一度取り付けたら、今度は大丈夫。

ハイメの友達ルビオ一家がやってきました。彼もバイク乗りでKawasaki Valcan 1500とYAMAHA TTR250を持っているそう。ワシのGSがえらくお気に召したようで、色々話をしました。

次に炭火を熾しますがなかなか炭に火が点きません。空気をポンプで送ったりしてようやく炭に着火。その間子供たちと遊んだり。ハイメもルビオも子供たちが大好きですが、はしゃぎ回る子供たちを見て「たまに頭痛の種だ」と言ってました。

火が安定したところで魚の切り身をグリルの上に。魚の種類はスペイン語なのでわかりませんが、多分鯰の一種です。レモンと塩をかけて焼けるまで待ちます。

30分くらいして魚が焼きあがりました。味は、美味い!!　白身で脂も程よく乗っていていい感じ。ちょっと鰤を思わせるような感じですね。ポテト、ユカ芋、サラダなどなど。

ルビオ一家は10時過ぎに帰宅。その後NHK Worldがやっていたのでそれを鑑賞しながらみんなでUNOを。千葉県のある町の「ハイトリクモ」の競技会についてと日本庭園について。

その後のニュースでは民主党の代表選挙についてやってましたね。一国の首相を決める選挙ですが、どの候補も冴えませんねぇ。ここは我々が日本を変えて行くしかないですね。

12時ごろまでみんなでUNOをしながら歓談し、1日が終わりました。この宿に泊まってよかった。
明日はサンタ・クルスを目指します。500キロなのでまぁ、無理をしないように行きましょう。


Day 399: 28 AUG 2011

I did not feel like leaving today when I got up this morning, so I decided tostay one more day. I went to Mercado for breakfast.I had "Caldo de Pollo (Chicken Soup)" for 10Bs.

Back to the hostel, Jaime asked me if I wanna join dinner with his family and friends tonight. Why not.

I was so sleepy, so I had nap till 5pm. Then went for a walk.

Jaime was fitting a light on the wall near the BBQ griller (Parrilla) as it was too dark there. He bought some chinese made power plugs and wiring, but when he pluged the light, it blew up and shut down the electricity of enter house!!

He discnnected the chinese stuffs and turned the power back on. We found the circuit inside the power plug was tatching each other. We fixed that and this time it worked!!

Then Jaime'S friend Rubio and his family came. He is also a motorcyclist and owns KAWASAKI Valcan 1500 and YAMAHA TTR 250. He likes my GS a lot and we talked about motorcycle for a while.
