ミノリスタ・マーケットへ買い物 / Shopping at Plaza Minorista

Day 267 : 2011年4月17日

今日は母と甥っ子の誕生日。おめでとう。

朝から天気が良いので洗濯。クレアもカオルさんも洗濯。洗濯日和。ツギハギだらけのカーゴパンツを洗う。絞るときにあまり力を入れると敗れる恐れがあるので、そーっと。

昼飯時までキューバ日記の英語版をアップ。パート1は終了。でもまだ日記15日分あるよ・・・。

余った食材で昼飯を作る。カオルさんがここに来てから食事が豊かになりました。したがって体調も良し。

食後の腹ごなしにビリヤードをやってたら曇ってきました。しまった今日はちょっと離れた鮮食材市場「プラザ・ミノリスタ(Plaza Minorista)」に買い物に行くつもりなのに。あわてて買い物に出かける我等。

プラザ・ミノリスタまではあるいて15分といったところでしょうか。橋を越えてガソリンスタンドを左折。3ブロックくらい歩くとあります。野菜、果物、肉などなどいろいろな食材が売ってます。感じとしてはシドニーのパディーズ・マーケットとメキシコ・シティのメルセーを足して2で割った感じです。野菜とか大量に買うとかなり割安です。プラザ内は広いので時間を掛けて探せば買いたい食材が安く手に入るかもです。しかし、値段が書いてないのが多いのでいちいち訊いて周らなければいけないかも。その点メルセーは値段書いてあったから楽だったなぁ。牛のアバラ肉（骨付きカルビ）、ジャガイモ、たまねぎ、セロリ、トマト、にんじん、アボカド、キャベツ、タマゴなどを購入。今日は牛肉入りミネストローネ風煮物を作ることになりました。

外に出ると雨が降ってます。幸い雨脚が弱かったので大して濡れずに帰りましたが。

午後はまたビリヤード。しかし全然上達しません。最近細かいワザも上手くなったかな、と思いきや、全然駄目です。

ミネストローネにはパンでしょう、ということになり、雨脚が弱まるのを待ってスーパーにパンを買いに行きました。ミネストローネ風煮物は美味しく出来上がりましたが、カルビが硬くて残念。

夜もビリヤード。カオルさんに3連敗。今度こっそりと練習しよう。

Happy Birthday to my mum and my nephew.

The weather was good this morning, so I did the laundry. Clare and Kaoru did the laudry too. I washed my long pants, with lots of patches now, so when I wring them, I had to do gently not to tear them more.

Until lunch, I was writing Cuban diaries in English. Icompleted the summary part (Part 1) but there are still diaries of 15 days to write...

After lunch, Kaoru and I played pool. Then the sky was getting darker. We planned to go to Plaza Minorista (Food market), so we hurried to the market.

It took 15mins on foot. The plaza was full of vegetables, fruits, and meats. It looked like Paddy's Market of Sydney and Merced market of Mexico City. If buying bundles, we can get really good prices. The market is huge, and it is worth to look around for the better price (but usually there weren't much price tag. So we need to ask the prices...). We bought 1 kg of beef ribs, tomatos, carrots, onions, cabbage, potatos, avocados, eggs etc.

It was raining on the way back, but luckily the rain wasn't taht hard.

Played pool again in the afternoon. Then we cooked beef n vegetable stew for dinner. It was very good but beef was a little too tough.

Played pool again in the evening. I should have been better, but I am not very constant... I need to practice more.

まぁ1日ダラダラと・・・ / A lazy day

Day 266 : 2011年4月16日

今日は昼前からカオルさんと徒歩でセントロまで行ってきました。パルケ・バリオの彫像群をみたり、屋台街(?)を見たり。まぁ、特に何処へ行くという宛ても無いのでブラブラ。サン・アントニオ付近の飯屋でバンデハ・パイサ(Bandeja Paisa)を6,000ペソで。これはメデジン風の定食で、チチャロン（豚のバラを揚げたもの）、チョリソー、焼き肉、目玉焼き、ライス、フリホレス豆の煮物、サラダ、更にスープとドリンクが付くというボリューム満点ぶり。メデジンに来て初日にウメザワさんと食べたのもこれでしたね。これで6,000ペソ（3米ドルちょい）は安いです。

宿に戻ってきたらワシの乾してあった赤いTシャツがまだらに漂白されてます。掃除のおばちゃんセシリアがどうやら漂白液をぶちまけたようです。まぁ、まだらの柄もちょっとお洒落に見えなくはないのですが・・・。

昼寝して夕飯までビリヤード。今日はパスタを作りました。昨日からセマナ・サンタに入ったのですが、特にやること無し。早く南下したいなぁ。

Day 266 : 16 APR 2011

Kaoru and I went to Centro on foot before lunch. We did not have any specific place to visit, so we just wondered around Centro, seeing those statues at Parque Barrio, looking around stoles selling veges, meats, fish, fruits etc.

We had lunch at a restaurantnear San Antonio. Bandeja Paisa (Typical dish of Medellin - a set of Chicharon - fried pork belly, Chorizos, Carne - Meat, Flijores, Fried egg, rice, salad, soup and drink) was COP6,000. What a bargain!

Back to the hostel, I found my red T-shirt hanged for drying got spot bleached... It looked like Cecilia the cleaning lady splashed bleach accidentally and got my T-shirt. Well the spots added some taste to my red T-shirt, but....

Having a nap and played pool with Kaoru till dinner time. We cooked pasta. Well, Semana Santa has started and people I spoke advised me not tomove during Semana Santa. So I will be stuck here for another week at least. But I have nothing much to do here. Not sure when Kaoru is going to leave here. I want to head south soon...

ステッカー製作とペルミソの延長 / Making stikers and the extension of Permiso

Day 265 : 2011年4月15日

今日は朝からアルプハラ(Alpujarra)に行ってステッカー製作とペルミソの延長です。マークとクレアがホンデュラス国旗のステッカーを造って来たので何処にあるか聞きましたら、税関（DIAN）の近くなんですね。そこで先ず日本国旗とキューバ国旗のステッカーを造ってから税関に行くことにしました。

ステッカー屋（Vehiculos Polarizodos Avisos Senallzacion)の住所はCarrera 52 #40-88です。出来合いの日本国旗はあったのですが出来が悪いので新しく造ってもらう事に。キューバ国旗は出来合いが無いのでこちらも造ってもらいます。何故か「ジョジョのポーズ」を決めるステッカー屋の兄ちゃん。

プリントではなく白地のステッカー、赤地のステッカーを組み合わせて日の丸、キューバはこれに青を加えて造ります。なかなか良い出来です。出来合いのステッカーに「アメリカ合衆国、イギリス、コロンビア」の3国旗セットがあったのでこれも購入。これはプリントなので出来があまりよくないです。全部で15,000ペソ（8米ドルくらい）です。まぁ、安くは無いですが国旗のステッカーを探すのは結構骨が折れるので中米諸国で買えなかった場合はここで製作すると良いでしょう。

そして税関に行きます。行ったらRoccioが「カルタヘナのペルミソは65にしか見えない」と行って「GS」に訂正するのを拒みます。生憎書類には「GS」と記入されているのは「65」とも読める箇所だけ。仕方が無いのでデジカメでGSの写真を「ほらGSでしょ」と見せたら納得してくれました。結構簡単に説得できたな。

書類を印刷しなおして印刷しなおしたページに書類番号の通番をスタンプして終了。6月5日までの延長となりました。

まだ10時過ぎですが外はもう雨が降り始めていましたので急いで宿に戻ります。
宿に戻り、早速ステッカーを貼ります。そして昨日の残りのカレーで昼飯。カレーはやはり昨日の残りが美味い。昼飯後はカオルさんとビリヤード。

午後はしばらく日が出たので中庭で読書。しかしまた雨がジャージャー・・・。これじゃ外に出れないなぁ。

夕飯も残りのカレーにコールスローを作って健康的な食事。やはり風邪を良く引くのは食事に問題がある可能性が高いですね。しばらくカオルさんと歓談後ビリヤード。カオルさんは上手いのでテクニックを学びたいですね。イドさんとやってた頃よりも格段に上達してるのかな?

Mark and Clare made stikers of Honduras flag at "Vehiculos Polarizados Avisos Senallzacion". As I wanted to have stickers of Japan and Cuban flags, they told me the address "Carrera 52 # 40-88", where is near by DIAN.

So I went to the sticker shop first. As they did not have stikers I wanted in stock, they made ones from scratch. The quality of the stikers made is pretty good. I also bought stikers of Americam UK and Colombian flags (the quality of those are not very good), and it cost all together COP15,000 (US$8). Which is not very cheap but finding stikers of a national flag in a country could be really hard. So if you can not find the stikers, here is the place to make.

Then I went to DIAN. Roccio said "The model of motorcyle looks like "65" instead of "GS" on the Permiso issued in Cartagena" and she refused to make a correction. I showed a photo of my GS in my digital camera, stating "GS" on the side panel. And she said "Ok, I will make a change on the document". It was easy to convince her.

Once she printed out the new document and put the serial number on the paper, it was all done. I got the extension till 5 June 2011.

It started raining pout side, so I hurried back to the hostel.

I put the stikers on GS and the pannier. Now I have Japanese and Australian flags on the front screen and Cuban and AMerican flags added on the side pannier. It looks good.

Afterhaving lunch (left over curry from last night), I played pool with Kaoru. He is a good player, so I can learn techniques from him.

The sun came out for a while in the afternoon, so I read a book in the garden. But it started rain again in the later afternoon.

I had the left over curry again for dinner, then played pool with Kaoru. I hope I am a better player than I used to be.

Day 264 : 2011年4月14日

今日は2時半に税関に来るようにと朝から電話がありました。ペルミソの延長許可が下りたそうです。昨日速く寝たお陰で体調も戻りました。

朝飯食べたらカオルさんと一緒にノアの散歩に付き合いました。スタジアム（エスタディオ=Estadio)まで歩きました。広い敷地になかなかの施設です。やはりメデジンは金があるのでしょうね。散歩した後コーヒーを飲んだり朝から優雅です。

昼飯は宿のみんなとレストランへ。ノアが気前良くおごってくれました。ありがとうノア。

そして税関へ。オフィスに行って書類にサインしてハイ終了！って思いましたが、書類にあるモデル名が間違ってます。「R1200GS」なのですが「R120065」と入力されてます。確かにカルタヘナの税関で作られたペルミソの書類は手書きで「GS」が「65」に見えなくも無いんですが・・・。「今日は入力係が帰っちゃったから明日ね」とお姐さん。無駄足でした・・・。天気も悪くなってきましたので宿に急行です。

宿に戻り読書して昼寝。5時ごろ起きたら雨がジャージャー。カオルさんとビリヤードして雨が止むのを待ちます。6時ごろに雨脚が弱まったのでスーパーへ買出し。今日はカレーを作ります。

アミーゴでトクさんが作ってたジャガイモカレーが美味しかったんですけど、マスタードシードを入れていたんですね、トクさん。エクアドルのキトの安宿「スクレ」の情報ノートにトクさんのレシピが書いてあるそうです。カオルさんがキトでマスタードシード、クミン、カレー粉などを仕入れてきてくれたので、本格的なカレーになりっました。流石カオルさん、味付けもバッチリです。2杯も食べてしまいました。そして夜遅くまで歓談。

Day 264 : 14 APR 2011

I had a good sleep last night, so I felt much better this today. There was a phone call from DIAN and made an appointment at 2:30pm to receive my extension of Permiso.

After having breakfast, Kaoru, Noah and I went for a walk. Having a cup of tinto and was a nice morning walk.

We, Claudia, Noah, Monica, Scott, Fabio, Kaoru and I, had lunch at a near by reastaurant and Noah paid for us. Thank you, Noah.

Then I went to DIAN to get my Permiso. It should have been easy. I just needed to sign on the documents and all done! BUT, there was a misspelling on the documents... The model was typed wrongly. It should be "R1200GS" but was types "R120065". Well the permiso issued at Cartagena was hand written and it looks like "R120065".

Anyway I have to come back tomorrow to get the corrected one.

Back to the hostel, I had a nap and when I woke up at 5pm, rain was pouring... I played pool with Kaoru and waited for the rain eased up. Around 6pm, the rain stopped, so we went to the supermarket to get some more foods.

We cooked curry. Kaoru is a good cook and the curry was tasty, muy subrosso!

バイクのインスペクションとジミー / Inspection at DIAN and meeting Jimmy

Day 263 : 2011年4月13日

今日は朝税関から電話が掛かってきて11時半にバイクのインスペクションをするとのこと。スペイン語なのでイマイチわかりませんが、近くのバイク駐輪場に停めろとの支持。GPSに税関の場所を入力して行きます。

税関の前のバイク駐輪場に停めた訳なんですけど、さすがＧＳみんなの注目の的です。まぁ、街を走っててもみんなの視線を感じますね。

指定されたオフィスにいくと係りのRoccioはキレイなお姐さん。この旅でRoccioという名前の女性にあったのは3人目ですね。サカテカス、ハバナ、そしてメデジン。女性の名前は「Ａ」で男性は「O」終わるのが普通なのですけどRoccioは何故か女性の名前なのに「O」で終わります。何故でしょう。

Roccioと一緒に駐輪場に行きバイクの車体番号などが書類と一致するか確認。書類にサインして「ペルミソは明日発行される予定。明日電話するから」と。

宿に戻る途中コロンビアナンバーのGS Adventureと一緒になりました。彼もみんなの注目の的になるのだろうか?彼は地元民だから毎日注目されてたら疲れるだろうなぁ。

宿に戻りカオルさんと昼飯。ノアに散歩に行こうと誘われ3人で散歩。ノアの友達ジミーを紹介されました。ジミーは62歳で既に引退してますがバイクで南米を2周もしたツワモノです。宿に戻りクレアも交えてバイク話に花が咲きました。ジミーはオンロードのBMW K100でペルーやボリビア、ブラジル、ベネズエラの悪路を走った変態です。話も面白いですね。

夜はちょっと風邪気味で調子が悪いので早目に寝ました。

Day 263 : 13 APR 2011

This morning, I received a phone call from DIAN (Custom) and made an appointment for the inspection of my GS at 11:30am. The conversation was in Spanish, soI did not fully undertand but she was saying I have to park my bike at a paid motorcycle parking near DIAN. I keyed in the location into my GPS and off go.

At the paid parking, my GS drew everyone's attension. Well, on the way there, I could see everyone was watching my GS as well.

I went to the office at met Roccio the inspector. She is HOT. Not sure why all Aduana inspectors I met in Colombia are HOT (remember the lady inspector in Cartagena?)? We waled to the parking and she checked my GS against the documents. Then I signed on the document and she said the extension will be granted tomorrow. She will call me to make another appointment.

Back to the hostel, I had lunch with Kaoru and Noah asked us for a walk. Then he instroduced his friend Jimmy from teh States. He is also a motorcyclist and went around South America twice! His stories were very interesting and Clare joined us and talked about the trips and bikes sfor a long time.

I felt little dizzy in the evening, so I went to the bed early.
